The 2023/24 Illustration Contest top 300 has been revealed, and we will be running a series of polls to figure out which entrees are E4’s Favorite.

Each Pokemon will get it’s own Poll

This one has really grown on me - not just for Flygon but for the whole contest.

It has the concept art/storyboard/colour board look that I see in the “The Art of insert movie” books.

This one is SO GOOD, I would kill for that on a card.

Does anyone else think they made Flygon a little too cute in a lot of these though? It’s face reminds of something I’d see on a little mammal in a good amount of the pictures.

The bane of Flygon depictions since day one. I consider it as much of a weakness in Flygon’s design as I consider it a poor interpretation. It’s one of my favorite Pokemon but I’ve always questioned why they went so far away from the bug connection. It’s an antlion, not a puppy.

Those bright buggy eyes are adorable though! I never looked up an antlion before and omg

reminds me of the cute lil jumping spiders!

I wish they would have done something else with its eyes, perhaps the shape of its legs and horns too since now it’s probably one of my least favourites of gen 3 (which definitely is an unpopular opinion) but the JUS one indeed is a gorgeous one, reminds me of some movie or political posters. Not exactly sure if it’s a perfect fit for a card tho

Agreed. It looks great but it doesnt really fit a card. The design seems like it would be good for a logo though.
