Whelp. I for some reason mistakenly thought I had until tomorrow night to do this and left it until the (wrong) last minute to draw. I canāt create anything reasonably good looking in the last hour so Iām going to regrettably remove myself from the contest and go ahead and start a year early for the next one so Iāll just have something ready

I imagined some grazing girafarig with a storm coming in on the savannah, and Raikou racing past in the blink of an eye with itās stunning speed, startling everything it rushes past.
Recreation: āSuperchargedā
My recreation of the Dark Jolteon art by Arita. I liked the art before but I gained even more respect for it while making my own version. I never noticed the lightning gently touching the spikes on the back.

Amaaaaaazing work, Iām beside myself. Just a reminder we arenāt super duper insane strict about punctuality if you request a little extra time. We obviously arenāt going to go extending it by hours, but while we finalize the ballot as the last entries come in, there is time to edit or post your entries in these last few minutes. Donāt stress if itās gonna be 10:05 or whatever.
oh but if anyone happens to edit any previous post, please do post newly and tell us so that we can note it, as there is obvious stuff that goes on behind the scenes, like the ballot most importantly.

Just to clarify - did you create all of this by hand? If so we can have this be a submission for Original as the 3D/Virtual is more about previously generated assets. Just let us know and @brendantheclayboy and I can readjust your original submission.

Since the art project I started a month ago for this is looking to take another estimated 60 hours of work, I pivoted to several other ideas but time was tight. Keep an eye out on the crafting thread since Iāll post there once its actually completed.

This artwork by all the members here is so inspiring, so ridiculously good (better than a lot of current artwork coming out in my humble opinion), so fun, so joyousā¦ I donāt have enough words for it at the moment. This event makes me so happy, Iām perma-smiling all the way through, relishing all the submissions. And I know Iām surely not speaking for just myself. I love this so much.
I truly think the concentration of amazing work is some of the best yet and I honestly am afraid to vote, as the competition is sooo hard, thereās far too much quality to make a single category even remotely close. Itās going to take quite a bit of deliberating from everyone, Iām sure. Thanks so much everyone for participating! Iām incredibly proud of all my fellow efourians and always so impressed by the caliber and sizable population of grossly talented artists here. Your work will be cherished in its publication for years to come!
P.s., Up until the moment the ballot is complete, and we announce it, weāll still include anything that comes in. But once we launch the final period, we will close submissions.

Please remember to follow the rules of voting. All contestants MUST vote, and cannot vote for themselves. Non-contestants just have to have a 2 month old account from the launch of the contest, and are free to vote for the best art.
Note:
Those contestants who find themselves afk during this period will have their score docked by the amount you are taking away from your fellow contestants. Granted, we will be reminding everyone that is missing near the end, but we need to mention this as a couple times we had to delay everything for a few missing contestants who we had to chase down.

Voted. Well done to everyone who submitted. They all look amazing, and it was hard to bring it down to a top 3 for the majority of the categories! Also thanks to the organizers, as always. Very cool to see this annual event coming back every Summer.
