Name: Marowak vs Mandibuzz
Originally it was supposed to be Marowak protecting it’s Cubone child from Mandibuzz (which I am assuming is what ends up killing all the Marowak Moms). I kept changing my mind a bunch of times and now it’s just a Marowak being knocked off a cliff by a Mandibuzz while cubones (the white smudges) are watching. Idk, should have stuck to my original idea. 
I have been nothing but impressed with the art that has been submitted and was shocked to see so many names still needing to submit. Thank you @azulryu for the reminder.

Really sad the defending champ doesn’t have time to finish what is already a very very stellar art piece, just magnificent. I would be very happy if we could see it finished later on. Your work is very incredible.
Here are my two entries! They’ve been ready for a few days, it’s just been a busy time and couldn’t scan them until tonight 
I had a lot of fun breaking out my water colours after a few years of not painting! I even ended up with two other pieces (my first two “practice” ones inspired by my cat Pekoe) which I’ll post in the fanart thread soon. I don’t have pink or purple cakes in my small watercolour set, even though I like to use those colours a lot, so I always like mixing to get the right shade

This is a scan of my watercolour painting, inspired by my cat, Poutine, who loves to nap near plants. I’ve included cat tax below where you can see her with some ferns which I stylized a bit for my painting (a Boston fern, and a Kangaroo Paw Fern). I also included a photo from my phone below for those interested, since I’m not sure the best settings for my scanner lol.
Scanned watercolour based on Nishida’s Bellossom (Legends Awakened 20). I found a fun/cool technique for the light flares and probably got a bit too carried away with them haha. A photo from my phone is below as well.

One of the most famous paintings in the world by renowned Dutch Painter, Vincent van Gogh. I used it as inspiration to depict what Psyduck dreams of when sleeping. Also, I am a complete newbie so I went overboard with the coloring.

A big thank you to the organizers for the event. This is my first time participating in the art contest. I really had a great time thinking of concepts and trying to link them to Pokemon. The process of converting that idea from brain to paper in a decent looking art form was really challenging but very fun and rewarding. The level of art submissions already is completely mind blowing and really awesome to see the talent of fellow members every year.
