It’s supposed to be the battle from the perspective of Mewtwo instead of the protagonist but since it’s supposed to be a “Mewtwo card” I used the reflection to also put Mewtwo front and center in the art

Despite I couldn’t be part of this contest, I can’t deny I enjoyed seeing all works from all participants. I have to admit E4 members have art abilities and their sketches are really good. I liked them a lot. It was difficult for me to make a decision because every work was amazing. I consider that everyone made a really good work. I hope to be part of next year’s edition (if it takes place).

Finally came around to voting! Just echoing what’s been said countless times already. The competition was so so tough this year, it was truly painful sometimes being forced to pick only three of a category.
I dearly hope everyone gets at least some votes, because you all deserve it!
And it goes without saying, thanks @brendantheclayboy and @azulryu for keeping this tradition alive and kickin’ each year! It’s stuff like this that sets e4 apart from every other community!

We got just TWO more days until the end! We have already seen more submissions than last year, and more voters. Excellent turnout.
We really, really do not want to chase you down, but there are a couple contestants who still need to vote. Please get that in. Also this bump can serve as a reminder that you do not need to be in the contest to vote for the best art of each category!
Lastly, many have expressed hopes that all the art has at least gotten some votes, due to the sheer volume of amazing work. I can happily inform that this is indeed the case, and, further, that every single category (no lie) is ridiculously close. And I mean so ridiculously close that in some categories I think we might need to be worried about a tie in some places…

Best get that plan A piece finished!
Only another 55hrs of work towards it and itll be all set. The crazy part is that I dont even know if itll work out by the end of it, so who knows if all the time is worth the end piece.
Hopefully i can finish it in a week or else itll have to wait until I get time again.

Last day of open voting! So excited to see the results this year. I cant wait to share appreciation and thoughts on everyones art!
I was thinking about it and wanted to thank @brendantheclayboy again for letting the submitters know that every piece has gotten someones votes for somewhere in the top 3 places. Art criticism is always tough and many times a submissions style doesnt work for a lot of people in a general audience so it can be very stressful to put yourself out there (even informally like this). I know I was nervous since I keep looking at my pieces and thinking of improvement areas or how I could have better conveyed the intent so it was great to hear that someone thought that it was good enough as is. Definitely eased the voice in my head that goes “but what if nobody likes it…” lol.

The voting period will be closed, and ballot locked. Since I am actively plugging in the data from the google form as they come in, all it will really take is some several minutes or so to do a final review.
Also a note to all, watching the results come in in real time is so crazy right now, each ballot is changing 2nd/3rd/4th place for a couple categories. Each year there is certainly a category that come in super close, but I’ve never seen so many close results and across each of the 4 categories. The last couple ballots submitted as of now just changed SECOND AND THIRD place of TWO categories. Remarkable.
I also cannot freaking wait to be able to talk about the art after the reveal; I know a lot are eager for that.

I will say that the experience this year has been seamless. Everything from signing up, to submitting, to voting has just been so effortless. The process really seems refined and makes for such a great time overall.
