Everyone can participate (provided your account age is eligible and I know yours is).
The people tagged are those who have previously participated, so they likely would be interested in participating again and were notified like this. New users to the event are always welcome, no experience needed.
If you know you are going to enter, review past years categories and rules and you can start working on your art now if youd like, no need to wait until the official opening to start.

It’s a rule, but we accept all submissions. Submitting something outside the aspect ratio just means you acknowledge that if it wins, it will be cropped/stretched to fit in the trophy.
The aspect ratio is 4 x 2.25 (width x height). This just so happens to also be exactly 16 x 9 which is what most screen tv’s aspect ratios are, so it’s like you’re drawing a frame of a movie
or full arts 2.5 x 3.5 (width x height)

These are the first two i think of when i think of a photo of a model but as i was looking back several others jumped out. Absolutely worth looking back to see all the unique styles done every year, Im blown away when I look back. Getting even more excited now.

When the submit period starts do we post our art here or DM to the organizers? I feel like it keeps the excitement to the max if we dont see submited art before voting period starts

You submit by posting on the thread. But remember it takes time for everyone to read and view through the pieces, deliberate and choose their favorites. Its good to give voters time to think about their choices.
