Title: Is this 1st Edition Shining Gyarados the Double Holo Error? Video included
I’m hoping someone experienced with the Neo Revelation double-holo errors can help me determine whether this copy qualifies.
This is an English 1st Edition Shining Gyarados 65/64. In person, the foil effect appears unusually strong and seems visible through areas of the illustration that I understand are important for identifying the error—particularly the clouds/sky, whitecaps and water, boat area, and across Gyarados itself.
The effect is most noticeable in the attached video around 12–18 seconds and again around 27–29 seconds as the lighting angle changes.
I don’t want to assume that strong holo automatically means double holo, so I’d especially appreciate opinions from anyone who owns, has graded, or has closely examined a confirmed example.
Does this appear to be the recognized double-holo error, ordinary print variation, or is additional footage needed? If more footage would help, please tell me the exact lighting and angles I should capture.
