Does MBA deserve a higher premium or scam?

Ive owned labeled mba pokemon cards, let me tell you that at least at collect a cons, worlds, and trade shows, nobody cares about them or prices them differently, they treat it as a bgs 10, psa 10. Most people didnt even know what it is and laughed when i said it is a grading company that grades the grading company. Ive avoided buying them

Personally, it’s a byproduct of the current market. I’m not a gem mint collector searching for the most pristine copy of the rarest card, so I don’t care.

It makes me chuckle that someone who once had a name in the grading space can make another company to inspect said grade, AKA another subjective opinion from a grading company; Determined the grade given was in fact accurate AND adding a “sub grade” after the fact in the form of a sticker on the slab (inspecting said card through the slab)… it’s just another money grab for those who seek out the best of the best in a sea of blue chip collectors who must one up each other.

Does MBA account for printlines ? If so, i see it as adding a plus value.

I can never accept that a printlined card is a 10. Everybody including uninitiated people can see the dirty printline scarring the whole card and detracting the visual appearance. It’s a huge problem in the grading industry and I don’t understand how it’s not more talked about, it’s like everyone is closing their eyes on it including us collectors

A fellow printline hater! That makes two of us.

I would say it does, even the base model. The M4 chip works really well and it will last you for at least a couple of years.
