the only thing i dont like about the current market is purely me lol i feel like soon i will be priced out of the market of what my goal is (base set in every language) but again thats totally down to my own personal fiancal situation and yeah its annoying and dishearting sometimes and sometimes well nearly all the time i want to quiot but then i think its been four years since i started i really want to finsih on the other hand if i was a buyer and seller i would be pay as price increase makes it a more interesting market to make money but i havn’t really brought or sold much just brought
I know what mining is.
But just saying, at introduction of Bitcoin the value of it was so poor, that it would’ve been a smarter thing just to buy them, not mine them. Nowadays I wouldn’t even mine Bitcoins but after the hard fork of earlier this month I would mine Bitcoin Cash, since noway you can compete with those Chinese companies mining Bitcoin with 10,000 GPU’s at once.
As somebody who bought Bitcoin back in day at £2 for one I completely feel what you’re saying. If everyone had know and bought them though they wouldn’t be valued anywhere near what they trade for today.
there are other crypto-currencies other than bitcoin, in fact there is one currently skyrocketting from China… also another boat that has just sailed but yeah.
history repeats itself, it’s not about missed opportunities but one’s that you can still board.
Why is it “not right?” What gives you the authority to say that people can’t enjoy a hobby while also turning it into a business?
There is a very large number of collectors who also run huge businesses, Smpratte, Gary and Rusty just being a few of the big ones on this forum who do so. Is what they are doing “not right?”
You are in it merely for collecting. That’s awesome and completely fine. But it is absolutely ludicrous to criticize others for making a career out of something they love.
As far as flippers go, they are going to be there and always will be. Who cares? They are a part of the market and there’s nothing any of us can do about it. If the original seller doesn’t care about selling off a card, why should you care what the buyer does with it?
You are trying to implement your own set of rules and expecting others in the hobby to abide by them. THAT is what “ain’t right.”
Base set is for basic bros, everyone and their mum’s dog is trying to complete base set. Why be the same? Just to prove you can throw money at expensive coasters?
If you really want to be the best collector in the world, a man of culture, a BAMF, the MVP, truly a god amongst insects…
…then you need to buy an Expedition Tyranitar, the best looking card every created.
Little off subject, BUT, when I was in 7th grade I had to do a stock market project, and at the time I picked Apple, who wasn’t that big yet on stocks.
Anyways, long story short, I got an A on it, the teacher told our class that if any of us were confident enough in our project to try investing… Unfortunately for me, I couldn’t convince my parents to buy 1000 shares
At the time stocks were $45 a pop… And everyone here is complaing cause they missed out on cards when they were “cheaper” smh.
