dm’d on insta, however i figure’d i’d share on the sub as well. definitely a double sparkle but doesn’t seem to line up with trainofthought’s research of it being different colors than the normal one, because this looks quite similar to me. almost seems like its missing a print layer and letting the foil through too much, based mostly on the eyes.

sorry to necro this.. just found out this error is likely insufficient white ink covering the holo essentially showing what appears to be way more holo than intended.

Don’t apologize. The sparkly pretty boy variant is one that I’m on the hunt for so any information is welcomed.

Edit: so it’s not actually double holo, it just looks like it?

exactly right! no holofoil was actually applied twice, rather it just shows wayyy more than they meant to. so conceptually yes its a “double holo” but the only real “double holo” variant is from neo. i would sell you mine if you’d like!

I want a PSA 10 copy so if you think it would get it then I would strongly consider it lol

I started my eBay for this very card, and rn i don’t have the funds from it, which is a bummer. But if you still have it when I make a couple more sales then I’ll hit you up! Barring condition of course though lol

unfortunately every copy i have seen (3) is off center in the exact same way. maximum a 9,5 from cgc. it cannot 10.

Noooooooo :sob::sob::sob::sob:

Just wanted to mention that this is a misnomer. “Double holo” variants of Neo Revelation cards do not have multiple holo layers, despite the implication of the name. They are missing portions of the white underprinted layer, whether purposeful (i.e., to align more closely with the Japanese counterparts) or accidental (i.e., technological glitch or human error).

oh so the exact same thing here?

With my limited knowledge, I think it’s equally likely that a slightly different holographic material (e.g., perhaps the extra sparkly foil used in Japanese or Chinese prints) was substituted for a unique print run. I think either option could have led to the change in opacity: different material vs. same material but different printing parameters. It’s hard to say one or the other with certainty at the moment.
