I have been interested in collecting all the variants of pokemon booster packs (there is a lot) and was curious if this is niche or lots of people are doing this? I recently sourced cases for booster packs kinda like psa graded packs and was gonna print labels for each variant wich lead me to thinking about making a app to show all variations and you can check them off and print the labels for them. Would other people be interested in it?

No you have to use super glue or get an ultra sonic welding machine wich is like 2k so im gonna just glue them lol
I remember when PSA announced the new pack slabs I thought graded packs would take off big-time but it didn’t really seem to catch on. I remember I had saved a bunch that I thought were mint and the grading seemed extra random idk what a 10 pack is vs a 8 pack
Yeah thats why i got these cases sending every pack to psa to get encapselated would be a huge waste of money as long as the pack doesnt have any obvious defects i can add to my collection. I was using perfect fit sleeves inside semi ridgid inside a team bag for long time but they dont look the best that way
Yeah I think the slabs look good if you can print a good quality label and glue it without much excess it should look professional. You can add whatever you want to the label too. The weights or whatever
Do you think others would be into the same thing? Im a software developer and seems a bit overboard to make a whole app just for me to use lol
There are several collectors of packs but i dont know about every single variation for all sets.
@packyman has variations of all base packs and may be a good source to talk to about it.

I collect sealed vintage packs! I store them in opened booster boxes of the same set. I’ve been contemplating selling them all to purchase another sealed WOTC box though. I like the idea of condensing my sealed collection down to fewer, higher value pieces.
Hey there! I know I messaged you the WoTC variations that I know of but maybe we can exchange our full list to see if we are missing anything. I only collect English packs so I only have variations specific to those. I also included all the other miscellaneous booster packs (POP, Sampling/Fun, Dollar Tree, McDonalds, General Mills, Trick or Trade, Play! Prize Pack, etc.).
I have always enjoyed collecting sealed booster packs! Like you i have also explored different methods of showcasing them or storing them.
The above are just 4x6 picture frames, i edited the backgrounds myself based on the pack arts and printed it out on some photo paper. The booster packs are inside a sleeve with a small strip of double sided adhesive tape on the back of the sleeve to keep it in place.
I also have a few binders of booster packs which is nice to flick through and keeps them safe.
I have even just stuck them inside of packaging used for a £1 mobile phone screen protector before for a super cheap alternative (I don’t even own an iPhone) but it’s not as nice lol
I would love to eventually get my vintage packs graded by PSA at some point since they stopped folding the packs over a few years a go.
I kept each different design from every pack I opened since HGSS! I don’t have ones of all sets since I still buy kinda casually, but I love them. If anyone has a cool idea of how to display them I’d love to hear! They’re currently just sitting in a box.
Ive seen people use bulk to fill them to make them look good for display or open the foil to make a collage background wall art of them.
PSA probably stunted a lot of growth with the old design where they folded it to fit.
I’m surprised it hasn’t grown much with the new design.
I’ve been considering buying some and getting them recased, does anyone know if they will recase long packs? I saw they were potentially not grading those any more but will they at least fix the packs that are in the old design that currently exist?
I love to collect sealed booster packs. I have my collection in a box which was designed for slabs. The boosters are in acrylic cases which I got from Cardotaku.
