Is there a difference between the Charizard, Blastoise and Venusaur from the Trade Please campaign (February 1998) and Pokémon Song Best Collection CD (January 1999)?
As far as I can tell from eBay auctions they are the same, but perhaps one is Glossy and the other isn’t?

No they are the same down to every last detail. The one’s in the CD kit are the same as the others from different things. The ones that are glossy are glossy in the CD ones and the non glossy such as the trade please cards are non glossy in the CD cards. It would seem they just had a bunch of these cards extra laying around and used them with the CD’s.
