Difference between a graded 9 and 10

I’ve been looking over some cards to grade, and have been struggling with the difference between grades and where the boundaries lye.
That is partially why grading companies exists, but I want to know your opinions on some of my cards condition and what what you would deem to be to much for a 10.

The first is the most minor and in my untested opinion would still be eligible for a 10.

Same sort of problem but just slightly worse.

These 3 images are for the same card with corner defects. As it’s in the same sub category would the card (assuming everything else is perfect) get a 10?

Dents are considered really bad for grading but this one is very minor and on the back of the card.

Lastly I feel like centering can be an immediate down grade but in this case it’s on the back side which I would say affects the “eye appeal” less. Especially as the gradual colour change of the border makes it stand out less

At the end of the day there are no right answers but I’d love to hear what you guys think. I would say the the first 2 would be a grade of 10 and the others 9.

PSA allows for minor flaws if the overall eye appeal of the card remains strong

Do you get inconsistent results when it comes down to centering or would you say that’s the one area that isn’t subjective?

I’ll leave that one raw then

You are truly free when you understand that PSA 9’s and 10’s are the same condition

I like to call it the psa 10 coin flip. Any psa 9/10 quality card is often just a coin flip between getting one or the other grade.
