Cynthia PSA9/10 Collection

Cynthia Collection is still a WIP!

Originally it started out when I bought an Ultra Prism booster box for 400 dollars in hunt for the Cynthia Full art (148/156). I managed to pull her during a work call and couldn’t even scream for joy. Eventually I decided to grade her with PSA and received a 10!

Over time I got more into the Pokemon hobby by going to card shows and opening other packs. With my visits to the card shows I was able to pick up a bunch of the PSA 10 full arts. Over time I completed all of the full arts and decided I wanted to continue looking for something to hunt. This turned my focus from just full arts to collecting all cards with Cynthia on them. I decided to collect Japanese and English holo variations and focus just on cards where her body is relatively visible. This meant that I wasn’t going to collect cards where it’s just her face portrait. I’m still on the fence with deciding if I want to collect the half-art Garchomp from Ultra Moon; maybe once the main collection is done, I’ll go back and grab those.

The original goal was to collect only PSA 10s but as I delved deeper into the types of cards she was on I noticed that some 10s would be either out of my budget or close to impossible to find. As such, I’ve changed my goal to a collection of mainly 10s and buying 9s when needed. In the pictures below some 8s will be seen as I decided to pick up 8s as place holders and sell back whenever (if ever) I find 9s / 10s.

Throughout this journey I’ve become a proud owner of two pop 1 PSA 10 cards, one which was self graded. As I’m writing I decided to check and one of them is no longer a pop 1 haha.

I hope you guys enjoy seeing the cards as much as I enjoyed collecting them over the years! It’s definitely been a long term goal and I’m still missing about 17 cards! This is excluding the Garchomp variation which would add around 7~ more cards to collect.

If I had to pick my favorite art work I would say Cynthia’s spiritomb is my favorite full art and Cynthia’s feelings is my favorite half art.
