Yup Z&G posted that it’s confirmed paid , it is indeed a crazy market lol OP you may have just mistakenly made this Lugia a new price moving forward lol
Like I said I got distracted and hit 4 instead of the the 3… Wasn’t paying 100% attention when typing the bid… I got lucky as no way I was paying over 4k.
And yes I only have a couple feedbacks as just started using eBay a few months ago.
Mike
Wow… Can’t believe that got paid for.
Madness! Love this card but that is a crazy jump from previously sold.
It’s a very strong PSA 9, well centered, not very visible white dot etc. So 5k I think it’s pretty fair.
I’m not saying this is the case, but something being paid could still be shilled.
Regardless, it is a “crazy market”
Considering how in pokemon last sold = market no matter what, then yeah it could still be shilled. Or a simple bad buy
This is what’s so dumb in the hobby right now.
Anomaly sales have never meant a card is worth that much.
This used to be common knowledge in the hobby, but now you get a bunch of grifters that want to jump on every sale as the new baseline price, often times before it’s even confirmed.
Money laundering is the next logical step in this madness
It is a crazy Market, and sad to say I contributed to it when I paid over market for my Shining Gyarados last month on Fanatics. Paying more for vintage feels a bit better than paying the current prices for modern.
Purchased a PSA 9 1st Ed Neo Discovery Espeon over the weekend for $585, that’s just a couple hundred more than a raw PrE Espeon that came out this month.
And the previous!
Yeah but if you are trying for a master set of eevee…
I am 100% with ya and understand. Time is on our side, we can get these cards after September when all Prismatic products are released. Singles should be at a local low at that time
One of the stores that I go to is a very customer friendly shop and I was able to get a tin and a etb that they saved for players.
In my opinion, the card being graded by PSA is probably one of the bigger factors on why it reached the price it did (besides pressing the wrong button). If this was a 9 for any other company, the interest to even bid that high wouldn’t be there I’d assume.
no,no,no you guys are not helping do any of you even know to look at sold listings? this price was anomalous. And as far a being sloppy and throwing in an extra grand you must make more money than you know what to do with.
There are scams on ebay which can process your bid after the shilling has already happened depending on what screen your on. I placed a bid at $6 by the time it was processed I won at $44 because a bot had interfered between the current bid and my bid. The card wasn’t worth $44 so I had to have ebay investigate. All this happened with a high volume seller with good ratings.
I still would not trust this. James only charges 3% for a card of this price so having a buddy shill and pay for a card to start a fomo craze on a card you might own more of…it’s cheap to do that
I don’t think that this is the case as it’s pretty clear that they must of had something pretty important going on as they stated they clearly didn’t want to pay above 4k
What do you guys estimate the value of a PSA 10 1st Edition Red Cheeks Pikachu is? I may be forced to sell mine.
You can find recent completed sells on ebay
