Do we have a master list comparing consignment options? Other than PWCC, I think there are some forum members who offer consignment through their eBay stores.
EDIT: Figured I might as well make a list for the forum while I am gathering this info.
Thus far we have consignment offered through:
PWCC

I’ll add more who offer the service and any other specifics needed.
COMC (Check Out My Cards) (www.comc.com) and Rick Probstein (www.ebay.com/str/probstein123) both have larger followings than PWCC on eBay and have been around for a very long time. I can’t say much about using their services but I have bought from both several times in the past. Neither specialise in graded cards either unlike PWCC - you can find them both selling all sorts of Pokémon-related goodies.
My consignments are catered mainly to high end. My model is different due to size and knowledge. I am able to put more focus on cards and bring them to life. The record prices reflect that formula.
Overall pwcc is the best general option for Pokémon. Probstein is an og, and hustles like crazy. But pwcc is better for Pokémon imo. Pwcc understands the market more, where other consigners simply process items.
I’m in the UK and recently sent some cards off to be part of PWCC’s upcoming May block.
@prochaos introduced me to www.parcel2go.com which allows you to send packages via services like FedEx for a lot cheaper than if you went direct (I think FedEx quoted me £144 to ship 85 cards whereas Parcel2Go quoted me just £27 using the exact same FedEx service). They also allow you to declare items as “NotSold” whereas FedEx, DHL and UPS all require filling out commercial invoices for anything which isn’t a ‘Document’.
Cheers, this actually solves a problem I outlined in another thread relating to a PWCC submission - namely dealing with the import documents with DHL. How did you handle insurance for the package, if you don’t mind me asking?
I think the insurance is based on the value the package is declared at and (though I’m not 100% sure) I think “NotSold” means PWCC wouldn’t have to pay any sort of import tax even if you declared at a really high value - I think I only declared a value of around £500 for the package I sent which was certainly lower than what the cards inside are worth, but the chance of the package getting lost is incredibly slim.
Ah, okay. My problem wasn’t import tax, but documents that were impossible for me to fill out. I did declare a high estimated value, although I don’t understand how to correctly value a consignment submission - you have no proof of value since the items aren’t sold and there is no invoice. I’ll definitely consider this option, although I am still curious if there’s anyone based in the UK who offers a consignment service. Perhaps there’s an opportunity here for a seller with a high enough profile?
