I don’t have details of the full timeline of the prototypes but it seems this set of cards corresponds to the pokemon that appeared in base set

The back mentions it. I don’t think it should affect the grade personally, but I am also of the opinion that the grade overall doesn’t really mean much.

Like is this 10 centering?

Fair enough, I’ll keep my mouth shut!

CGC graded the set all together. While being able to see the lot of cards side by side, they graded on an adjusted scale that took damage that was common amongst the cards into account. Think of how Rocket or Jungle with a rough cut is graded to allow the paint chip affect on the edge of the card.
