@arminallmighty gotta admit though, they are really nice and kinda refreshing to look at with their clean slabs, golden labels and subgrades. Looks like you got them just in time!
iād be very interested to know which card you actually cross-graded from a psa 10. iāve always said that a psa 10 on average would cross over to around quad 9.5, some sub grades may be 10, some may still be 9, but obviously i have no data on vintage card because of the enormous resource one would need to accumulate enough data points.
I definitely think the quad +s will transfer to Psa 10. The Quad +s are seriously flawless top quality cards , in which some cases Iāve paid freaking premium. The ones with the 9 corners , probably not ? Just because you can spot a slight white corner nick ? Hard to say.
IE- the Nidoking was a Psa 10. They hit me with a 9 surface. Also, I purchased a psa 10 1st edition Magneton and send it to BGS the for minimum requirement of 9.5 ⦠they sent the card back and said it did not meet the requirements. Lol. So itās tricky. The Ninetales crosses to a Quad which I was super hyper and happy about. At the end of the day , be it a 9.5 - a Psa 10 or even in some cases a Psa 9, the majority are good cards.
Also the bgs population report is extremely low! Bgs has been more active in pokemon I feel. They recently started to identify and label thin stamp too ! Which theyāve never done before. I know this because my Alakazam is pop1 ! Pretty cool. I totally respect and love that they do that now. Just another strong way to even more legitimize the cards and there worth.
Awesome. Yeah, I see your BGS certs are the newer numbers, so youāve been busy! Yeah, my observations over the years align with your cross-grading experience. With the eye test, I definitely think the BGS 9.5 quads or quad+ have looked every bit psa 10. Anyways, itās the BGS 9.5 with the 9 subgrades that are definitely possible PSA 9 regrades, which gives BGS 9.5 a bad reputation. LOL. anyways, awesome to finally see a legit BGS 9.5 collector! iām tempted to regrade some of my duplicate PSA 10 base holos over to BGSā¦but I would want to have quad 9.5, which I donāt think itās possible to request on subgrades?
Yes, the thin and thick stamp labeling is nice, as long as BGS stays consistent.
