What is everyone’s thoughts on the CGC signature series authenticated cards? Apparently the signature series (as opposed to the authenticated autograph service) is a witnessed autograph and the card is directly graded right after. In light of the prior CGC bungling of the play test cards I am understandably skeptical. But if it’s witnessed am I wrong in thinking this is probably the next best thing to actually witnessing the autograph yourself?
I’d say yes.
Anything else is just an opinion on authenticity. Even the non signature series cgc.
In an ideal world you would get the item signed yourself in person or have a friend get you it.
If that fails then I’d say that cgc witnessed is your next best option.
There were reports that not all of these are witnessed by CGC in person

I think CGC’s opinion has negative value.
these are the most secure coz they are witnessed, but psa ones will go for more 
that is (was?) my card haha
They always have video on IG etc of the inhouse witnessed signatures (minus a certain prototype maker)

Always, expect for that one time they didn’t.
Reminder that they graded the copies where the autograph was done before the card was mounted
