I don’t have another example off the top of my head, but as for the CHR Gallade,
- It’s originally from SM11b Dream League, the set that introduced Character Rares largely based off characters and their partners in the mobile game released that same month Masters EX (August 2019). It’s not based on Wally’s lore in Pokémon Ruby & Sapphire like most believe
- Wally’s partner (or Sync Pair) in Masters EX is Gallade
He doesn’t need it to be ralts, but if he’s compassionate give him some Pokemon in the alt art.

Considering he’s wearing a Gardevoirite necklace, I think he’s at the end of Hoenn’s Victory Road where you meet to battle him (Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire) - which is in a field of flowers. They gave Mega Gardevoir its own priority mascot SAR so it didn’t cameo in SAR Wally’s Compassion
I do agree that the card could have been done better, but I also think that Jiro Sasumo is working within limitations of what Pokémon can be represented per special art. Ralts, Kirlia and Gardevoir were taken up for a combined special art. The other option for Wally’s Pokémon is Magnemite/Magneton/Magnezone which is in the set. But thematically in a field of flowers as the artstyle Sasumo specialises in? It is better without a cameo then

it’s a Galladite for his keystone since he evolves a Mega Gallade at Victory road since the set is gardevoir focused and Wally never uses Gardevior in ORAS i guess they assume its redundant on top of Wally’s Ancestor getting a CSR not too long ago too in Dark Phantasma with Gallade.

yea keystones in the games are unspecific for every sprite though but in game and lore context he never uses Gard in ORAS
In that case there’s no other Pokémon cameo option in the set besides the Magnezone line

yup and Mega Gallade ex is a promo atm so maybe if he does get a reprint in a HCS like Iris it’s possible for a cameo on Wally’s Compassion
These two are almost right. I think it might just be their expression that needs to be changed to show they’re in charge.
