@thetropicalwoodsman, This is the cheapest I could find, I have used them myself before. I don’t think you can get them any cheaper living in the UK. Retailers just don’t stock them for some reason.
There are no import charges on the item as it is under a certain amount of tax threshold which is good. Usually arrives in 2 weeks.
I thought the VAT threshold for non gifts is £15 including shipping, so you’d be likely to get the VAT charged and handling fee (£8) as well. I know they don’t always get picked up on but its getting excessive at that point.
No, not for grading. I’m using them for booster pack storage/protection. I saw its a method that @garyis2000 uses in a video.
I have had a look at the ultra pros and BCW semi rigids, and they’re almost right. But I wanted the extra length of the Card Saver 1 so that it covers the whole of my Japanese packs, so that it helps keep the flaps straight/flat. They’re still a bit too short, could do with an extra 1cm, but they’re best I’ve found so far.
GradedGroudon sells Card Savers on his grading site if you are interested, he is UK based. I think you can buy them even if you are not going to send a submission gradedgem.com/product/card-saver-1s-x-100/
Sorry unfortunately these are for grading service users only,
Reason being I sell at cost so it is a feature of the service, another reason is because I have to order 4000 at a time which is a lot of money and also importing is a hassle,
They are free if you send in via the service via toploaders or any other way,
I also have had in the past people stating they would grade with me, buy a bulk lot and then just resell on eBay, so I’m having to be rather strict nowadays unfortunately,
Ludkins also provides them for free when grading. I did as well when I middles cards for grading.
Otherwise there is no “cheap” overseas option as there is no way to avoid the shipping cost. The weight is 20 pounds per case of 2,000 card savers. There is no way to ship that without paying a premium.
