Buying Pokemon collections with cryptocurrency?

For those who dabble in crypto, would you consider buying older sealed product and PSA cards in exchange for crypto? Would you expect to pay an extra bit of cyrpto in value because you are avoiding fees and taxes essentially? Would it be right to ask for a respected third party middle man to receive each item and check to see that each person sent the right thing? I ask because I am looking at potentially arranging deals to trade some of my collection for crypto, and wanted some insight. Maybe some of you all have done a crypto for card exchange and would like to add some details.

Personally I wouldn’t want to do a transaction via crypto to avoid taxes… Also if you are doing it for that reason I’m not sure why you would pay extra. Sounds sketchy to me, I would avoid or have a middleman that you trusted 100%.

I’ve been offered crypto numerous times and never accept. I know a couple larger deals that had a mixture of mostly cash and a bit of crypto, but it’s something most people don’t bother with as it’s too volatile.

At least with collectibles they are tangible and discernible. You can get a decent impression on why certain cards increase or decrease. People “investing” in crypto couldn’t tell you why prices increase or decrease. It’s all hot air.
