So, I sold some Card Bulk via eBay, and the Buyer has asked me to wait with shipping since he’d like to buy more of my cards. I sent him screenshots but they’re incredibly slow to reply. The item was purchased on Saturday and it’s Tuesday now and I still don’t know which cards they want to purchase on top. Can I get in trouble with eBay for waiting too long to ship the ordered item out, or is it ok to wait for their slow replies until they decided which items they want to buy on top?
I’m assuming he has payed, ebay won’t get involved unless he opens an item not received case, if that happens you can show them proof that he told you not to send it yet
How about the stars when he gives me a rating? They always ask “Has the item arrived before X?”
Theres nothing you can do if a buyer truly wants to give you 1 star, but it doesnt make logical sense for him to do that if he’s asked you not to send yet
It has only been 3 days… lol Some sellers only ship once a week and they are top rated.
It’s common for people to want to combine stuff. I’d say give the guy a 7 day deadline at most, so ship everything by the weekend.
Thanks for the advice. Guess I’ll wait. I’m just really nitpicky about sending the items out as quickly as possible.
I wouldn’t worry about it! There are many times I asked the seller to hold off on shipping because I want to combine shipping…sometimes for more than a week! This is especially true for sellers with more cards and auctions that I want to win!
If your not worried about your seller level then wait but there should be a date ebay ask you to ship the item, if you dont the late shipment percentage rises effecting your overall level. Look in your seller dashboard.
I would tell them to make any purchases before that advertised mailing date explaining the above, otherwise it will be shipped.
Only three days which occurred on a weekend.
eBay won’t hurt you if you don’t ship immediately, of course if you are aiming for a “Top Rated Seller” it can have some slight effect. But yeah, sometimes I will wait a set amount of time, if they don’t respond within that time-frame then, go ahead and ship. I too tend to be nitpicky about shipping but am willing to work with potential buyers, never know when they will come back
