Books the best way to straighten cards?

Found a shoebox and some bags of old cards I have, sorted them out into this.

Some cards have a curve to them and was wondering if stacking some books on top of the stacks of cards is the best way to straighten them out some. Will all these Harry Potter/Chemistry books come into use finally?! Thanks for any help! -PJ

I would use an iron on high heat… If that doesn’t work then yes a couple heavy books on piles of 100 or so cards and a few days of waiting should help flatten them out a bit better.

An iron could burn the cards, test on a beat up energy first.

What if I put fire energy cards on top?

You are on the right track. What you want is for a card to be as neutral as possible to the iron. With my Charizards (shadowless, 1st, base, doesn’t matter), I sandwich them between two water energies. You see, holographic cards react strongly to heat, but I weaken the Charizard by surrounding him with water. He becomes more susceptible to the iron this way.

use baking parchment or something if you are using an iron and dont do it on holos.test on a crap cards first to test

One day some poor newbie will search up E4 for advice, completely miss the joke and have a card ironed

Doh! I was quite exhausted yesterday when I posted that. If someone does iron an energy card, id like to see the results.

You can always use the Mike Pence method of “straightening em out” if ya know what I mean :stuck_out_tongue:

Like take all the curved/bent cards to a special straightening camp?

I’ve heard electroshock treatment works great on cards, zaps the bends right out.
