Best way to obtain chinese exclusive items/second hand?

Well, best way for the best price.

I’m trying to find a few things- As usual, I’m looking for Porygon-Z related stuff. Right now, I’m mostly interested on the damage counter boxes and sleeves from the newly released Chinese Travel packs. I’m also looking for chinese cards, but those may be easier to buy through other means. Anyways, either way info about this may be helpful for anybody wanting to buy chinese products. Essentially I just want to know the best way to buy from Taobao/Xianyu (especially Xianyu), without breaking the bank.

Now, I’m in Argentina myself, so a lot of the trusted stores I usually see recommended end up being way too expensive for me. And also, a lot of them focus on sealed products. I’m moreso looking into buying directly from China, either by using a proxy like Superbuy or an individual with good reputation that offers a proxy service- However I have no experience using either of these things. Superbuy seems relatively trustworthy but I’m a bit worried about the final price and fees.

Does anybody here have any tips? Any info is appreciated!

Tagging in @yamahap45 and @nintenbox0731 since they are very knowledgeable with ordering Chinese products. Apologies in advance if the tags are not relevant.

Cheers!

I buy a lot from china and I use the proxy Superbuy Superbuy - The Best Taobao Agent Help You Shop & Ship From China (this is my referral if you want to join) .

I used superbuy for 14 years, never had any issue, no packages missing and shipped over 500 packages, they take photos for free and help you with returns.

They do promos and help you to buy from Xianyu. The fees are not too bad and also you can just use your address and ship to the warehouse yourself! Probably there’s some proxys a bit more cheap but, this is the one that I use.

Thank you! That’s very reassuring, I’m glad you haven’t had any issues so far. I’ve been checking the prices and they seem pretty good.
I do have a quick question though: when checking the shipping options, a lot of them list “no famous branded items” under prohibited goods. It doesn’t look like China Post Registered Air Mail has that restriction, so I might just use that one to avoid any problems.
Do you happen to know anything about that or any other things to consider when making purchases?

You can buy a lot of fake items from taobao and there’s shipping lines that won’t allow you to ship counterfeit items, but it should be fine, I never had any issues. As with any other proxy, shipping is expensive, so you need to buy a few items to make it worth it. My last package was 14kg ( a lot of stuff ) and shipping was like £220 with EMS to the UK. They allow you to put any value as declaration for customs

Oooooh that last part is super helpful to know, I was wondering about asking them since a lot of chinese sellers don’t mind undervaluing packages. I definitely need that since my country charges you a pretty hefty tax on any item over 50$ including shipping lol. Regarding the shipping prices, I checked out the shipping calculator and it seemed like the pricing was pretty decent, not much different to what I pay on japanese orders, I usually don’t order too much so my packages end up pretty lightweight.

Thank you so much for all the info!! It was super helpful.

Yeah to be honest the customs declaration thing is the best!
