Beckett Grading! do I need membership?

I have never used beckett grading before, and I plan to submit 5-10 cards for their 5 day service, do I need a membership to do this? I just want to confirm this before I submit without an membership?
Any Help or experience with Beckett is appreciated!

No membership required but you should look into all their options and base your decision on all the info you find. You might decide a membership makes sense.

Thanks mate!

Just one more question:

So say the bronze membership

6 Grading Submissions
30 Days Total Access Online Price Guide
Beckett Graded Card Price Guide #13
Your choice of one of the following:
BGS T-shirt
BGS Can Cooler (Blue)
BGS Court Duffle Bag

Does the 6 Grading Submissions mean 6 cards can be submitted?(and if so what service level are those 6 cards processed as?)

Should say on the site. Check it out.

I was checking the site for you and couldn’t find that info.

I did find this we all may find interesting:

“To increase the importance of higher graded cards and to speed the turnaround times up, we have decided that on the new, non-guaranteed service, we will no longer be offering sub grades on modern (1981 to the Present) cards that grade 8 or lower. Cards grading higher than an 8.5 still have sub grades with our regular service. Sub grades are still going to be available at our premium levels, no matter what grade the card is”

Thanks for taking the time to check! yeah I couldn’t find the answer either on their site, Ill just likely not get the membership.

Good to know about that 8 or lower doesn’t get sub grades! Another reason to use the premium service, I have a OC charizard thats flawless, so I know the centering grade will be really low, and that will likely pull down the grade to an 8 or 7 but Id like to have sub-grades show the 9 or 9.5 grade for surface ext

Cheers!

Good point.
I did send them an email last night asking that question along with why isn’t that info posted.
I’ll post here if and when they get back to me.

Here’s our answer lol. Are you sitting down?

Hi Mr. Haase.
It’s a little embarrassing to tell you, especially you, that the turnaround time on free subs are 200+ days right now not counting weekends or holidays. Same as our nonguaranteed service. It’ll get better next year Iassure you.
Be good,

Mike

Hey Mike. Sorry it’s been so long. We’ll catch up soon.
Couple questions.

  1. What’s the turnaround time on the 6 grades that comes with signing up for the bronze?
  2. Why not state this on the site?

Lol If it took almost a full year (assuming 200+ he means business days) to complete a service, I wouldn’t mention it either.

Mike from Beckett’s just called me to explain further. As we know the free membership package grades normally go in at the 10 day service but due to the backlog that’s been suspended until further notice and will go in at the unguaranteed level which is taking 210+ days for now.
He said to watch the site for updates but said he’ll call me with change info personally.
