Base set box opening for charizard?

Hey guys

Quick thought/question… i have a base set box which im planning to keep sealed. However with all the hype with charizards is it risky to open and try getting a 10 if i was to pull one? Or keep sealed and try finding a good raw copy

Cheers jake

And i realise risk is there wont be a charizard or it may not be 10 worthy but you never know haha

I’m assuming its an unlimited box? If so keep it sealed. The value is much higher sealed. You’ll be lucky to get 25% of the holos in PSA 10.

This is the right answer. Unless you want to open it for fun or nostalgic purposes of course :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: but in that case be prepared to lose most of the sealed box value.

Keep that shit sealed! What are the odds of getting one? What are the odds of it being a PSA 10? Keep it sealed

If you really want a PSA 10 Charizard, sell the box and use the funds to buy one.

Awesome cheers guys good responses. Maybe ill look to buy a graded 10 instead

Agree with what @fourthstartcg said. You might be very lucky, but you probably wont. If you want the charizard build up to get it, don’t rush with the excitement

Cheers man  ive got some old ones but just not worth effort to grade. Just browsing ebay evening contemplating going for shadowless 1st edition psa 8 just cos i reckon thatll spike in price

cheaper to buy one in a 10 than crack a sealed box.if in doubt keep it sealed…you cant reverse the opening :stuck_out_tongue:

1st Ed. Zard is a different story, if you want to get it, don’t wait to long to pull the trigger otherwise you might regret in the future

For the unlimited you have more time and you can still find some mint copies floating around

Haha i know ive seen 1st edition psa 8 bidding at 800 australian dollars just keep being undecided but really.should just go for it

Nothing like opening the box and grading your own psa 10 charizard though ahh :sunglasses:
