Just wondering what the distribution for the base 1st edition and shadowless print runs were? As I can’t remember ever seeing them in the UK but people claim they have a 1st edition Charizard etc from their childhood folders.
only in the US never in the uk most people say 1st edition base in the UK and think unlimited is 1st edition
Thanks. I’ve encountered so many people, even knowledgeable collectors, who claim to have packed 1st edition cards in 1999 when they were 10 and I started doubting my own memory!
Later sets had 1st edition prints available in Europe. I personally opened packs of 1st edition gym heroes, gym challenge, Neo Genesis and Neo Discovery in Denmark. However, never saw anyone with English 1st edition base, jungle, fossil or rocket back in the day. Probably because the TCG took several more months before it became popular in Europe. Things moved slower back then.

1st Edition Base wasn’t even available to most of the US, mainly the West Coast.
