Ash'/Staoshi's Pikachu evolving into Raichu?

Ash’s Pikachu goes missing and he finds a Raichu that he thinks is Pikachu, later in the episode his Pikachu returns.
Ash’s Pikachu gets mixed up with other Pikachu’s and one of them gets evolved into Raichu, Ash thinks it’s his Pikachu but we find out later it wasn’t.
Ash’s Pikachu gets force evolved into a Raichu by someone for nefarious means, but at the end of the episode there is a special machine or whatever that force devolves him.

It will be one of these scenarios.
