Are single WOTC blisters sold weighed?

The saying around here is consider every “loose booster” you buy to be weighed. Does the same apply to blisters?

I believe blisters can be weighed also. Probably not as accurately though.

I have 4 wotc blisters. One of them weighs an ounce more. I bet that one has a foil in it. They can be weighed.

The difference of having a holo in a blister would be much less than a gram, if yours is an ounce heavier something funky is going on and I’d be worried

Pretty sure they can still be weighed, but I bet glue & other package materials could make it slightly more difficult.

One ounce = 28grams … so that’s one heavy holo you got there

It’s actually 28.35 grams  not trying to be snarky lol

Snerf snerffff

I remember a few years back in a scaling thread for Yugioh (I never done it personally myself, but more so wanted to know how NOT to buy scaled packs), it was mentioned that scaling blister packs is totally doable, but much harder because the blisters increases the margin of error significantly. It was mentioned that sometimes the margin of error is so high that it was basically only increasing your odds of pulling a holo slightly. Not sure how reflective this is for Pokemon though.

ha. I made the post right before bed and was going off memory. I re-weighed everything this morning for you guys to check out. I would guess the only one that has a foil in it would be the Jungle Wigglytuff because it is a *gram* heavier than it’s other Jungle counterpart. Maybe the Venusaur?

The Base Venusaur can have a holo too. It’s safe to assume 34g+ has a way higher chance of containing a holo.

They could definitely be weighed, OP. I remember selling 4 EX Delta Species Blister to a member here and they 3 of them had the slighest weight difference of maybe 0.1g with 1 of them being quite a bit heavier. I’m 99% sure it was a holo pack.

An ounce more seems really high to me… Can a holo really weigh that much?
Then again, here is what I think when I see ounces:

They’re adding the same piece of cardboard to each pack. Why would it affect weighing? It doesn’t.
