Anybody here have connections to Netflix? This Akabane/playtest drama would make for the best docuseries ever!

Not only are there a ton of clashing egos in the Pokemon space that would not want to be interviewed/ a part of the same documentary together - there’s an insane amount of liability for libel and slander that independent Youtubers can sort of get away with in unpaid youtube channels where they could simply be hit with a SLAPP or Cease and Desist but an official studio/distribution company would immediately be taken to court. We still don’t have official statements by just about anyone that matters and there’s no ending to the story with any sort of law enforcement or lawsuit battles from those most affected. All you’d end up with is a recounting by some of the lower-level victims that bought a slabbed card online and had to send it back to CGC for a refund. Finally, this is big news in a little pond. Most people who collect normal modern pokemon cards from walmart/target don’t even care about this. The best you could hope for now is to wait to find out how everything reconciles and then decide if it’s still a story worth backtracking/telling.

Shit I thought the current “flow chart” was pretty funny and made a meme of it but for all I know that might actually cross the line even as a joke/meme:

Thanks. This was before I guess another flowchart was introduced. I just thought it was funny that one of the guy’s headers is “Former Rugby Player” as if that provides some sort of context to any of this.

I think we are still closer to the beginning of the story than the end
