Been looking into these for a while and wondering if anyone has seen an official full set list. A good amount of people have posted some, but none are fully complete. Maybe someone here has more info on an official list?
Pic of pack for set reference
This website has images of what seems to be the full set: 2004 Pokémon Channel Card Set (Nice Cards) | TheCardCollector-UK.
It seems like the packs come with a set list. This image is barely legible, but one can be found below:
Edit: this video has a clear image of the set list: https://youtu.be/NtV7jMWU2l0?si=-oHonRycbHYcByte
Edit 2: This site states there are nine promotional platinum cards, bringing the total from 146 to 155. Pokémon Channel Nice Cards: An Exposé: pkmncollectors — LiveJournal
@nidokingdom also now has a complete set, if I recall correctly.
Edit: Also, I think the website linked above is updated by @Janineneedscaffeine and their mother, so they might be able to provide a clearer picture of the set list.
I have seen this website, but when I research the cards separately I’ve found a good amount more they didn’t have seems to be that way for most lists I’ve seen so far😅
Do you have any examples of cards that are missing? The number of cards shown is 146, which is the number the set list has too. Unless there are secret rares, that seems to be everything.
I’ll try and find the pictures but theres platinum variants of many different card/more lenticular cards than in the British people’s list
Edited original post with more info. The nine platinum cards mentioned in the above link (here: Pokémon Channel Nice Cards: An Exposé: pkmncollectors — LiveJournal) may be what you are looking for.
They are both missing the platinum mudkip and I think a couple others just makes me wonder what others might be missing
Interesting. Just saw the platinum Mudkip on Ebay, and it looks like it has the more-saturated colors of the promotional cards (easily noticeable on the back) mentioned in the second link sableye posted. Maybe the promotional set has a few that weren’t in the official released set? Despite what the blog post says.
Edit: Reread the blog post again, and it seems like they’re saying there are unique ones in the promotional ones that are not in the set.
Hello all !
I have completed a full set of these recently but the big set, with the really hard plastic cards.
There’s a second set that features those platinum ones that are much thinner and flimsier than the “regular”, I’m not sure but I’m guessing the smaller set was for a promotional usage (maybe distributed for free during an event or something) . But in any case I would consider both kinds to be separate sets.
Do you have pics of all 9 promotional ones wondering what those all are tbh
Unfortunately the 9 promo ones I don’t have any pictures, I only know of Pikachu and Jirachi in the promo ones, probably there’s treecko, mudkip and torchic for sure
Charmander bulbasaur and squirtle are also ones I believe
So I wonder what the last one is
Isn’t the last one just Latios then? As seen in the blog post.
I was able to find pictures of eight of the promos - Mudkip, Torchic, Treecko, Pikachu, Jirachi, Celebi, Latias, Latios.
Latias, Latios, Celebi, and Jirachi were found by looking at the backs saturation online, which can be hard to tell, so I may have made mistakes there.
Edit: you can tell if they are promos due to the shorter copyright information found on the promos (© 2003 Pokemon/Nintendo/Creatures/GAME FREAK for the promos, vs. ©Nintendo-Creatures-GAME FREAK TV Tokyo ShoPro JR Kikaku ©Pokemon)
Thanks for the research very helpful ![]()
I guess the platinum lenticulars of bulba charmander and squirtle are a part of the main set thx was just confusing cus they seemed pretty rare
I can confirm in the regular set there’s a few “grey-border” cards including the starters, but they are not promos, they are considered as “ultra-rare” to pull in the booster packs ![]()
Amazing research @sableguy ! I think the best way to recognize them on a picture would be to look at the saturated backs
Yeah just to add more info to the thread apparently the brittish people who mastersetted them said the platinum cards appeared to be one per box,so I guess they’re just rare especially since theres little to none sealed left that I can find
