Here is my mega 13-card submission!
I had the same idea as @sacari and @connorc --EX era is so underrated and still so cheap. Bought 13 holo cards in totalâ12 EX era, 1 Neo era. From the front and back pictures, all of the cards appear to be MINT; all look to be either PSA 10s or 9s at worst. I got the package on Thursday but am still waiting until tomorrow morning to open it because of the whole coronavirus crapâjust wanted to give it some space for a few days haha. Canât wait to open it tomorrow to ascertain their conditions. Those that arenât 10-potential will be going right into my binders:) Iâll update this post with more pics later!
I bought all 13 cards from the same seller all at once. Used eBay gift cards to get me over the hump. $49.86 after tax and shipping costs divided by 13 cards (each card individually was $3.00, seller combined shipping) = $3.84 per card The cards are as follows:* EX FireRed & LeafGreen Exeggutor Holo
- EX Hidden Legends Pinsir
- EX FireRed & LeafGreen Beedrill Holo
- EX Hidden Legends Electrode Holo
- EX Hidden Legends Claydol Holo
- EX FireRed & LeafGreen Butterfree Holo
- EX Hidden Legends Banette Holo
- EX Team Magma vs. Team Aqua Team Aquaâs Manectric Holo
- Neo Genesis Azumarill Holo
- EX Hidden Legends Exploud Holo
- EX Ruby & Sapphire Camerupt Holo
- EX Hidden Legends Medicham Holo
- EX FireRed and LeafGreen Raichu Holo
The pops are so low on these cards, although they are âjustâ holos and not EXs or Gold Stars. The EX era doesnât have the same history/nostalgia value as WotCâwhich is still my most beloved eraâbut even I must admit that Gen 3 equates it or even surpasses it in card artwork quality. Plus, this was a pretty significant down period for Pokemonânot many packs sold, so the pops certainly have a lower cap than pre-Eseries WotC and modern sets. I believe that the regular EX era holos are due for a value bump in the coming years when the EX card prices catch up to their respective booster pack/box prices. Thatâs exactly whatâs been happening with the WotC era cards over these past few weeks, and eventually so shall come the time for the EX era cards:)
