I have not added it to that thread as there is no Neo-Cosmos counterpart. The Retro-Cosmos version is the only Cosmos variant, at least as far as I’ve been able to determine.

There really does seem to be no pattern here as I pulled only Retro Cosmos Energy from my early wave ETB. I was hoping that this would be a geographical thing but which version you pull feels completely random at this point - aside from the fact the Neo Cosmos are significantly more rare
@Taigataipan actually has experienced that it’s especially alakazam ex boxes that give the neo cosmos energys and according to him the box has made in EU mention while other products have made in USA printed on them

To this day I’ve opened 226 booster packs of 151 ( and got 228 booster codes because two packs had 2 code cards instead of 1 ), from that stack I got 65 holo energies and only 9 of them were neo cosmos variants.
While keeping track from pulls I noticed Alakazam EX boxes were only products that gave only neo cosmos holos, other products were mixed bag with neo cosmos/galaxy or purely galaxy.

I’ve opened various waves/products of 151 and the only less-common variation I’ve got is a neo pattern Dark Energy. Both of my Abras are neo pattern but I’ll be on the lookout for a retro one.

Normal Version is way sparklier / glittery than the HD Version.

Hi all, I wanted to add to this thread. The pixel or retro cosmos holo started to be used again permanently for promos with the start of paradox rift. Before this it was used again starting with Paldea Evolved, the promos for the single and triple pack blisters come in both HD (modern) and pixel cosmos holo as pictured in this reply (left hd, right pixel although the 3 pack pixel promos are hard to find). Recently, with a reprint, this has been the case for the scarlet and violet base 3 pack blisters, also pictured in this reply. As of now there are cards I am unsure if they come in both pixel and HD. These are the scarlet and violet 1 pack blister promos (only seen in hd), obsidian flames 1 pack and 3 pack promos (only seen in hd) and the electibuzz from the Zapdos ex box (only seen in pixel). Any information about these cards coming in both varieties would be appreciated as well as any other card not listed. Thanks!
