Here some of the gen 1 Pokémon I usually pronounce wrong:
- Rah-ta-ta (Rattata) - I also often misspell its name as Ratatta.. Also, even if I would have gotten the t’s correct, I’d likely still pronounce it wrong, since I pronounce the ‘rat’ part Dutch instead of English (rat in English is pronounced rather similar to the color red)
- Reh-ti-gate (Raticate) - (‘g’ instead of ‘c’) although only if I speak its name fast
- Paris (Paras)
- Dig-le-di (Diglett) - Ok, this one I do know how to pronounce, but it’s just more fun to say it like this (the old one - that new one sounds f-ed up
) - Me-ouf (Meowth), where the ‘ou’ is pronounced similar as in ‘house’ - Although I can pronounce ‘meow’ correctly, it takes too much effort that way, so I usually just say ‘me-ou’, and the ‘th’ adds an ‘f’ in this case
- Pry-mape - instead of literally how you spell it: prime ape

- Abra, Kadabra - I pronounce both of these Dutch instead of English, even though I do pronounce Alakazam the English way
Just click on the listen icon for the Dutch word ‘abracadabra’ in Google translate to hear (a robotic version of..) the Dutch pronunciation - Weeping bell - instead of Weep in bell
- Tenta kwool (Tentacruel) - I almost pronounce it exactly the same as Tentacool, but with an added ‘w’ (instead of intended ‘r’..)
- Geh-reh-dos (Gyarados) - Almost correct I guess. Although it should be more like Gy’eh-ra-dos

Also, my username is pronounced ‘kwu-ah-dor’ (and spelled with two U’s and one A!).
Greetz,
Quuador
