It’s quite strange so for some listings I have the same issues but when I add them to my watchlist then I can see more pictures in the listing than if they aren’t on there so I really have no idea what’s going on.
For me when I go to Yahoo Japan via Buyee some pictures load on search results but I suspect it’s because I’ve loaded those same pictures before. However, when I click a listing even if the photo was visible on search results it just says “no image”.
Bruh. Well, I never used Yahoo Japan that much anyway so it doesn’t affect me too much… I shop more on Mercari personally.
Woah, how irksome!
Curious what everyone else has been doing/trying, so I’ll share my experience. I set up an account for a free VPN service (ProtonVPN), and connected to a server in the US. Y!J seems to work fine but Buyee gives a ‘403 Forbidden’ message. The same is true for servers in Japan. I normally use Buyee to get a better view of the images (they load images in full resolution afaik) without having to download them so this is a bit of a nuisance. When accessing Buyee without VPN I don’t get images, but after refreshing the page they do seem to load in, not sure where it pulls the data from but that is how I’m browsing Y!J at the moment.
Hello Fellow Europeans.
i’ve personally contacted Zenmarket, a proxybuyer service in Japan (most of you know i am sure).
they told me they are trying to find a solution for the photos on Yahoo Japan listings.
however they recommended me to use the OperaGx browser’s built in VPN to browse yahoo Japan until it’s figured out.
i did try that solution yesterday and it worked good enough tbh.
however later that day for some mysterious reason photos started loading again too so they may have already figured it out.
crisis averted?

^As someone who mainly buys from Zenmarket that is good news.
The only times I visited the main Y!J site was to figure out why a seller would have negative feedback but I have a VPN as backup in case.
