Well im from europe where shadowless and 1st edition base pretty much didnt exist. Should I just stick to unlimited base and leave it there?
Back on topic, i think this is a nice trade offer but not all trophy collector care for set cards and vice versa, however having the 2 big dogs in 8 and 10 quality i can see this trade happening

I’ve had a couple good offers so far but no one has offered a Kangaskhan. Everyone defending the card has already said how I personally feel so I wont repeate it. To me it’s becoming a once in a life time type card.
If anyone is hesitant about dm’ing me I’d be more than happy to add cash or more trade on top, or I’d also be interested in weaker copies.

The OP made a reasonable offer to trade some of his cards for another. You are telling him he is making a mistake when the only concrete data we have shows 100% otherwise in that the market values are indeed fair and that trophy kang has outperformed the base 1st edition cards he is offering to trade for one.

Fair point you just made. However, life is a lot less interesting if everyone continues to agree about everything. Difference in opinions is good for all of us. Dont dislike anyone for challenging my opinions. I encourage it. Makes for better discussions.
First of all, the fact that there is a diversity of opinion in this thread shows that OP is being very reasonable in his trade request.
Second of all, I do have to laugh at the idea coming from some that the Trophy Kangkashan isn’t / won’t be worth much.
The Pikachu Illustrator card literally just sold for $195,000. The person who bought it paid well over $200k for it. That’s where trophy cards have gone to.
The Khan isn’t the Illustrator, but after that and the 1997 & 1998 Trophy Pikachu cards, it’s as good as any Trophy card in this hobby.
It’s a beautiful card from the original era of Pokemon that was given out at one event in history (a parent-child tournament for which Kangaskhan was a perfect fit). To have a copy of the card in any condition is special.
Also, as far as I know, it’s the only card to meet all of the following conditions:
Just all stuff to keep in mind before the next time you tell someone that they are making a mistake trading for a Trophy Khan. 
Stick with your gut feeling instead, and don’t listen to a random person on the internet on how to collect cardboard.

Not salty, no. Just fully cognizant that many people on here do not have friends outside of E4, and, as a result, will stick together regardless of truth or reason. The mere truth of providing evidence demonstrating this fact is enough to incite a mob against you. To accuse you of being the very thing that your argument, supplanted using evidence, shows them to be. Now I’m not targeting anyone. Will further action be taken against me because of this? @btoise, The market doesn’t care about your feelings. The most valuable cards in this hobby are trophy cards, no matter how much salt you try and pour on the topic.
