I’ve played in many tournaments across many different TCGs. IMO, every tcg playerbase has a large portion of individuals with extremly poor hygiene. No one card game is worse than the other.
It’s baseline stinky lol.

Yugioh- they had to make an official ruling saying competitors could be disqualified for improper hygiene, as people were using it as a weapon to get their opponents to play worse or even forfeit to get away from it.

No card shop I’ve ever been to had to put up a hygiene sign for pokemon players. It was always magic.

I would vote YGO or MTG. Historically, it was always older, smelly, players for MTG and younger, smelly, players for YGO. Both situations are uncomfortable, but it’s a little bit easier to tell a college student to take a shower than a 40 year old man.

MTG. I used to casually play and it’s the only time I’ve ever seen someone flip a table over after losing. I thought that was a meme… I didn’t know people actually do it in real life. A lot of people who do not seem to care about their health at all. Maybe it’s depression from not getting girls?
