What would YOU pay for psa 10 prefable?

If a prerelease clefable ever shows up in PSA 10 (I think one will eventually) what would you be willing to drop on it?

I was fantasizing last night about me stumbling upon one in a collection purchase, it being mint, me grading it and it getting a 10. That would freakin rule! I’d never sell it if that happened but I just got to thinking about I wonder what someone would be willing to spend for that card.

Happy Friday everyone!

I would not be surprised if it went for 5 figures, the reality might be so crazy that no actual 10 exists outside a slip up by PSA.

Maybe like $500

It would depend on the card inside the case. I don’t buy labels.

But seriously though given that the last 9 sold for $1,526 I would probably value it at something like $2,000 for myself personally. I know the market would value it much much higher than that though so if I had some isolated opportunity to buy it I would probably pay up to $3-$4k knowing it was a good “investment” if I ever wanted to sell. If it went to eBay auction though I know I’d lose.

It doesn’t exist, just like the pre-chu “doesn’t exist”. I owned 25 and non were close to 10 quality. Same with Gary who owned around 50 last he quoted

Would surely be above $10k

I think Gary had close to 200 from one collection purchase years ago that he posted.

At least $10k

I have had 2 that I thought would slip through as a 10. One got a 9 and the other, which was better, got an 8. I regraded it and was marked as altered lol.

Those corners.

Opening bid would be 10k from a range of people. These threads invite good conversation, but honestly I don’t want the hype increasing anymore on something I’m interested in. I have idea where I’d be at, although I don’t want that to become the new baseline. Others could be far above or far below. Auctions are great bc it takes two.

$10,000 blind bid.

This guy buys labels.

But seriously I hope we get a “weak” one with a bunch of visible whitening that goes to a 7 day $0.01 true eBay auction. It would be fun to watch.

@gottaketchumall, 20 years = 0 PSA 10’s. Similar to the typhlosion 17. 10k absolutely on a PSA 10. But not from a seller who re-grades a 9 10 times.

These are a lot of cards but from only 3 sources here, so watch out for the batch effect. It’s unlikely but still possible that there’s a clean stack of them out there somewhere.

It’d be hard to justify putting a true bid on a weak 10 for Prefable. Although, a true 10 would make me question its authenticity.

Well to ease your mind dude, this discussion surely wont create any hype haha.

But speaking of auctions, if this card did surface and end up for auction, surely several members on this forum would be bidding against eachother. Has that ever happened before? With an iconic card that is.

I think this for every very scarce and non 10’d card!

10,100.00

I’d start the bidding at two BGS 10 Black Label Shiny Charizard GX SV49.

If it ever happens i see it going over 15K for it; even more. Someone paying 10K for a Shiny Charizard just released with more pop than a prefable10 from WOTC :stuck_out_tongue:
