What are you thankful for? 2020

I’m thankful for my wife and soon to be baby girl that we are expecting in a few short weeks. I am also thankful that I got into the hobby when I did and the knowledge I’ve attained from it so far to start venturing further and grow as a collector/investor.

Thankful for the folks who go through the hassle of getting cards graded then selling them on ebay so collectors can buy them.

And of course thankful for my family and friends.

I’m thankful that I’ve been able to work remotely during the pandemic and move out to my own apartment. (No more roommates!)

Also, I’m very thankful for hobby communities that have kept me sane. Sure, the majority of human interaction I’ve had in the last several months has been through Discord and Zoom calls, but sharing that time together has been really valuable. Thank you!

I am grateful I am still standing! On a personal level not just with Covid19 the past couple of years have been super tough so I am very thankful for my family and friends who have stood by me during these times.

I am also thankful for the champions of the hobby giving reason during this crazy market this year. All the positive people in the community and for those that helped me with my collection and who I have been able to help with theirs.

Thankful for family, friends, Pokemon cards, dank memes, Discord friends, not having to eat turkey this year, health, etc. For all that 2020 was, I am still thankful for a lot.

I’m thankful for a lot of things.

It’s great knowing that some of the cards I chose to keep for my personal collection have gone up enough that I don’t have to worry about paying for college and having a roof over my head in the short term.

My dog, Scout, is nearly 18 years old and still going strong.

I’ve kept in touch with family and friends even throughout quarantine - no friendships of mine have deteriorated due to not being able to see each other in person!

I’m nearly about to graduate college next semester, and I have a well-paying job lined up, which is a load off my back.

And, of course, playing Among Us with everyone most nights has been awesome fun, even if I’m always sussed out as impostor. Can’t wait to meet everyone at the next World Championships.

Thankful for a lot this year. Friends, family, roommates, the woods, my health, my staff, and the kids at my work.
