Topps Encapsulated Pokemon Cards?

Late last year Sarah Natochenny shared a picture of her signature on what certainly appears to be a sheet ready to be sliced up for encapsulation. Given that she’s been a part of other projects it’s not an absolute, but given the proximity to the 30th I think it’s quite fair to assume that we are going to see some sort of Topps x Pokemon collaboration again after all these years.

Has anyone seen or heard anything else pointing towards this and what are your thoughts on what the product might be or what the prospect of encapsulations/serialized cards entering Pokemon might be like?

It’s a fun theory but she is a voice actress that does plenty of other work, so I wouldn’t get my hopes up too much.

Oh for sure, my first guess is that it’s for a franchise that’s already entered that market but the timing is suspect at best

I really hope we never have these in Pokémon cards.

I do love the old Topps Chrome Pokémon cards, though. So maybe a spin on that with the Gen IV-IX mons (I think Topps only got up to Gen III).

When it boils down to it, I truly don’t either BUT as someone who has gone out of their way for autographed items before I’m not exactly uninterested. I personally think it would turn into an absolute blood bath and we would see scalping to levels we are no where near ready for.
