When I first dove into e4 and serious collecting anything on this playmat was what you dreamed of owning. @RayquazaTCG :goat:

I appreciate it!

Please note though, these and a few other major cards (like the illustrator) were middle man cards. I only dreamed of owning these cards as they passed through my hands to the owner.

(I did have some cool cards though )

I like how @tealdawn didn’t cover up space jam MJ lol

I remember reading that some of the artists of that competition refused to sell their cards or something. Did that change? Or did their stance change after?

For a collection of reprinted whatnot fakes it is a rather impressive picture.

Extra copies of all the non-Japanese ones hit the market

Interesting, as in not from the winners themselves?

Yeah, from an ex-nintendo employee (I believe) that sold them through collectorscache

1 of my AA pikachu, and 1 of my 2010 zoroark are vaulted right now, but here’s a pic of the rest of the art contest progress so far. Getting close to having all of the ones I really want.

While I don’t want to say your Charizard collection is missing one, or some, you could add a few… another Shadowless to have the First Edition atop the pyramid. Then, following this, add two more rows, one for Unlimited and another for UK 1999-2000. Perhaps to the point of silliness or completion, add a final row to add the reprints over the years in a coherent pattern. Beyond completing the same art set, maybe DP Stormfront for inspired recreations. I’ve attached a picture of the DP card to show the style of recreation I refer to.

However, my silliness aside, what a collection! Congratulations, and thank you for sharing! :star_struck:

Sadly, none of these are mine.

To whoever they belong to, I am jealous :joy:! Irrespective of ownership, I still thank you for sharing the photos; it is always fascinating and a privilege to peek at other people’s collections!
