The Dittologist Set

The Dittologist Set

Here’s my collection log of every Ditto card. It’s split into three categories: English TCG, Exclusives, and Cameos. Each category is organized by set and number in chronological order (roughly). I’m focusing on English TCG before deciding on exclusives and/or cameos. I’m certain that there are other cards missing. Any advice and help is appreciated–thank you!

Love it! Scrolling through the Yuka Morii cards threw me off until I realized how good those arts were. Good luck with your collection!

That “not tournament legal” card has me thinking. Can you peel that ditto during a tournament game?

That’s not a peel card, it’s a World Championship Deck card with a different back! None of the cards from those decks are tournament legal in standard because of that.

For the ditto peel cards, you’d be disqualified if you peeled it during a tournament, since you have to submit deck lists beforehand, and the list has to match your physical deck.

It’s always fun to see the list of different cards for different species!

I think you may be missing the 1999-2000 copyright non-holo Fossil Ditto in your list (if you care for that variant). And then the EX era Dittos also have code variants (again, if you care for variant hunting), which would end up being a lot of Yuka Morii Dittos

I’m interested in all the variants! Please let me know more about 1999-2000 non-holo Fossil Ditto and those EX era code variants Dittos when you can.

Thank you

The 1999-2000 copyright English Fossil set consists of basically all the unlimited non-holos (except the Zapdos holo, which is the only holo that can be found with the 1999-2000 copyright) in Fossil—some were released as part of theme decks, but others could only be found in red-logo Fossil packs from Australia (if I remember right). They can be somewhat difficult to track down and are more expensive as a result of their scarcity. Here are some threads discussing it: here and here.

And code variants exist in some of the EX era sets for common and uncommon cards. The code can be found in the bottom-left corner:

EX Delta Species, for example, has three code variants for each of the common rarity Ditto cards (Charmander, Squirtle, Pikachu, Geodude). See this thread (or the Google sheet referenced in the beginning). I think Ditto just has code variants for EX Delta Species, since the FRLG Ditto is rare (meaning only one code). Happy hunting!

Hey, adding to the cameos, i think you’re missing Morpeko 206/182 from paradox rift and Influencer’s Introduction from MEGA Start Deck 100 Battle Collection Corociao Version. Awesome collection btw

Thank you! Adding both Carddass cameos now.

Thank you! Great catches on these cameos  Adding them now.

I love this card!

It also took me longer than I care to admit to find the ditto cameo on the Morpeko SR.

Awesome collection - you have to be so proud!

Oh, I’m not done yet  Good reminder to update my progress soon! I’m getting there on the English side, but have barely touched exclusives and cameos.

(Took me sooo long on Morpeko, too  )

Also, the Ditto for 151 its in a World Championship Deck Exclusive from 2025, the JP Raging Bolt by Yuya Okita. There’s a more obscure one in the fossil set, the Cosmos Holo Foil, an absolute grail. From pokumon.com: " Several Cosmos holofoil Fossil have been found, all from Wizards of the Coast’s home state in Washington, USA. They are suspected to have been from former employees or the factory itself"

Right on! Glad it’s going to help. I’m sure that there’s some missing cards, so if you find any that I don’t have here, please let me know!
