THE CINNABAR ARCHIVE: A Curated Collection of Pokémon Artefacts

Hi everyone! I’ve recently started an Instagram account called The Cinnabar Archive, where I’ll be documenting my growing collection of vintage Pokémon merchandise. I’ve always been fascinated by the lore surrounding the Cinnabar Mansion and Laboratory, so I thought it would be fun to present my collection as if the items were “artefacts” recovered from the ruins of Cinnabar Island.

If you’re into vintage Pokémon cards, games, books, and other ephemera, feel free to give the account a follow. I’m a pretty casual collector - most of my items aren’t PSA 10, but they have plenty of character and interesting back stories (well, interesting to me at least!)

I’m particularly interested in vintage Japanese-exclusive cards and WOTC-era English stuff, but the account will also include manga artwork, video game merchandise, and other obscure items.

Each post is numbered and comes with a mini “document” explaining the history of that particular item. As the account grows, I’ll do my best to update this thread with new posts. I hope you find it interesting!

That is a great honor! Thank you for the kind words. I neglected my collection thread for quite some while though, but hopefully will get back to it later this year after finishing my database. In the meantime I look very much forward to your updates.
