yeah, i can send a letter with top loader and 1 piece of cardboard for $1, or top loader and 2 pieces for $2, i just charge $2 flat on all my cheap card sales
Super jelly of the $2.50ish tracking for the States.
Slightly off topic but the most expensive item I have received with no tracking was a $250 comic, guy had some balls but this was the golden years of Auspost where letter post was like express.
In my experiences only one toploader can go in an envelope or up to 12 cards in 3 penny sleeves. (3 trainer playsets)
I have tried two toploaders and it got sent back for being too thick. I am sure some amount of upcharge would cover it, I think whatever the “unmachinable” rate is.
If a buyer doesn’t pay the additional shipping cost for a 1st Class or Priority Mail bubbled mailer, then I ship the card in a white envelope. I ship several peices of cardboard in the letter with the card in between inside of a sleeve and toploader before shipping. Cardboard is also taped on each side, so the card(s) can’t escape. I also write “DO NOT BEND!” on both the front and back of the the letter. I also COMPLETELY tape the letter shut. I pay $0.70 for each letter I ship because they are shipped NON-MACHINABLE.
I’ve had a few people “claim” that there package didn’t arrive. I basically laugh at them and tell them if it isn’t there yet, then it will be there in a couple of days. It’s impossible to bend or cut the envelopes that I send because of thickness and them being completely taped. The only way to open them is with scizors. There was a guy overseas who kept trying to get me to refund him $40 for a Shaymin Ex, because he thought he was getting two of them. It was clearly stated in the auction title and the the item description that the buyer would ONLY RECEIVE ONE CARD! So then he tried to return it, and I refused. I don’t offer returns under ANY circomstances. I take alot of time making sure that there will be no problems with my transactions. I still have 100% Feedback aswell.
As for the added shipping cost. I take whatever is included in the auction listing. I won’t pay an additional $2 to ship a card to me. It’s always been about the cheapest price in my books. You wouldn’t believe how many cases I have to open on Ebay for a Refund because the card(s) I purchased aren’t in Mint or Near-Mint condition. Probably about one in every three transactions… The only time I pay more for shipping is usually with a big order from AmiAmi, that is over $100. I can’t take risks on something that is atleast that valuable.
Yeese You seal my packages perfectly xD WHich is what I want… wouldnt have it any other way. YOu should see what I do. I spend 2 dollars on tape for like 1 item xD… kinda overkill ha ha. With Ami Ami I’d always use EMS, because its so dam quik - about 3-5 days max to aus… It be only about 8 bucks more or some crap, and yeah all dem boxes shouldnt go through the harships of the mail. I was crying big time last 8 days waiting for the things to come in the mail… There was so much stress… OMG… ITS FINALLY OVER. There was so much stress because The mailing method, but hey it worked out okay… ITS A MIRACLE!
$4.80 is $1 letter post plus $3.80 Registered Label and you can add priority sticker as well if you want it to arrive a little quicker. Cheapest parcel post is either $7.15 + $0.15 bag (you have to buy 10 pack) or just $7.45.
Letter post with registered label at $4.80 also includes signature on delivery + $100 cover, but the tracking is semi limited i.e. scans when you drop it off >> says in transit >> says delivered. As opposed to full tracking which is more detailed etc.
