Should the main chase cards in sets only be of popular Pokémon?

I am once again asking for a Spinda SAR

This sounds very boomer like tbqh.

After I dropped off with the video games (after RS) my only interaction with new Pokemon from Gen 4-7 was the trailers and reveal sprites. A lot of them looked godawful. Some still do.

Then I started playing Pokemon Go and then during the pandemic, SWSH and now SV. Tbf I already did like the look of Gen 7 when the designs seemingly aligned with the region (at least my impression of what a Hawaii/island region would look like).

Basically I used to be a genwunner, or gen 1-3-er but I enjoyed playing SV so much I wanted to see all the card art and ARs and SARs of them. Obviously not everyone will like the current games, but plenty will and will like new Pokemon whether by first impression or playthroughs.

Furthermore, every single TCG generation except BW already had old Pokemon in the first set so it’s really not an issue. It’s a perception that frankly doesn’t have the evidence to back it up.

I voted no but I don’t really have an opinion. They only care about money and their current formula seems to be in sync with hahbee conditions.

If saturation wasn’t a problem I imagine every set would just be 300 different cards of Lillie, Umbreon, Charizard and Pikachu printed into blackest oblivion with 1:5000000 inserted versions.

Ho-oh and Volcarona ARs pls

i think most people wanting old pokemon only to be focused on don’t play the games as much.

dont get me wrong, i’d love absol to get a main feature (i get fed plenty of mew and umbreon and just got an S tier milotic), but i’m not going to lose sleep when so many other great pokemon get good cards

I’m going to be honest with you; It’s hard for me to sit here and read what you said when you start a conversation like this.

There’s a proper way to engage with folks. It’s ok to disagree. It’s ok to go back and forth and have healthy conversations.

But to start off with boomer and insinuate that my response is old thinking why should I sit here and read what you said?

Be better
