Share your lesser known Pokemon (pics please!)

Thanks to @koala , I decided to make this thread because I want to see your favorite cards that don’t get enough love from the Pokemon company. They may have 10-20 or less cards. Although he isn’t super unpopular, he doesn’t have a ton of cards, so I will share Poochyena and he only has one full art:

I always chuckle at this one

His only full art

He only has 1 card, but Kubfu is up there for me. Hes just so adorable.

My favorite Pokémon Seviper has 17, so I guess it barely counts. Although I feel like it does get a nice amount of love from TPC, fairly spread across the different eras.

It has five unique artworks during the EX era; one in the DP era; one in the Pt era; one in the HGSS era; one in the XY era; three in the SM era (including a Shiny and Prerelease promo); two in the SwSh era; and three in the SV era.
Since Seviper is a Poison-Type, I also like how it’s Grass-Type during the EX era; Psychic-Type during the DP-SM eras; and Darkness-Type during the SwSh-SV eras.

Here are all of them in release order

(Not sure if imgur already fixed my album after I submitted a ticket, but if they did, my TCG Seviper collection in all languages can be found here.)

No full arts unfortunately, although there are four non-Seviper cards with Seviper cameos, which does include two nice full art cards.

Here all four of those unique artworks

Wow! I found that really interesting about Seviper’s changing it’s damage types. I only knew about some Pokemon who used to be fairy type to now are classified as psychic type. Thank you for sharing!

The whole spheal line for me. I think all 3 evos are under 20.
Only one FA for Spheal.

I think Seal and Dewgong might me simualr? But im not sure, really like them as well.

@teamrocketop Always liked poochyena. Here two more that were in my collection.

Haha I love Spheal, super cool! I am glad you like Poochyena, I tried to actually trade down in my local area because almost his entire line-up is less than $20. I was trying to find kids/adults that owned those cards so that I can trade higher end full arts but had no takers :frowning: .

Really??? Im shocked, im not sure if i can any dupes for him but i can check for you, if your still looking.
I think i might look into the Shinx line i don’t think any of those cards are super expensive but i do know there ate some cute ones
Nevermind since when did Shinx line have expensive cards :skull:

Colleting less expensive cards is nice. Ill throw out Larvesta/Volcarona Snom/Forosmoth that a friend of mine collects.

I appreciate it :), I ended up getting the rest! Yes, that is one benefit of liking a “not so popular” Pokemon, I was surprised, even if not a holo, some of the old cards were just dirt cheap…

That’s awesome, though the one you shared, it’s kind of sad, I feel bad for Omanyte, I feel like Omanyte feels left out :frowning:

4 cards internationally, 9 in Japan.

202/SM-P is technically the only Japanese-exclusive illustration for Poipole as well, if you don’t count promotional logos (“stamps”).

Blacephalon was too easy to pick, haha!

That is awesome, I love seeing Japanese exclusives and I’m pretty bad with the Pokedex outside of anything past B&W. I had to look Poipole up on Bulba. Looking at Blacephalon, I would have never guessed that it’s a fire Pokemon, looks like it could be burned as a flower X.X

Haha!! I like that description a lot!!

Another good pick for this thread is Type: Null. Silvally had a few more as it was a bit more integral to the plot of Sun & Moon, but there are a few other Gen 7 'mons that share in this phenomenon.

Tyrunt is a good one for this thread from Gen 6 as well - just more stuff past B&W.

Edit to add images:

I don’t think Type: Null had any exclusive artworks, only releases through GX Starter Decks, etcetera (left image). The Hidden Fates release is my favourite art for International releases, likely the priciest, and then that Tyrunt was exclusive to Japan. It has an AR and a common card in Nihil Zero, coincedentally released today officially (Jan. 23, 2026). The AR will be translated as the ETB Promo IR for Perfect Order. I don’t personally know if it will have its common translated or not.

One of my favourite Pokémon in XY. Also one of my favourite IR´s. It has 8 cards if I´m correct.

I remember seeing that middle card, thought it was interesting as the name “Type: Null”, that’s really cool, thanks for sharing  ! Tyrunt, pretty funny name but definitely fits in the fighter category, I actually find em pretty cool, I might have to add him to my binder

Behold! My extensive Mantyke collection!

I have mixed feelings about the rare/ultra rare cards released in Pocket. On the one hand, it’s great to see more art out there, but on the other I can’t physically own them without going down the proxy route.

They have only given this card 7 releases so far in English! I hope they bump it up to 8 soon!
