Sets where Unlimited is rarer than 1st edition

Sorry to post a third time, but I was looking for @Quuador’s post in a thread that I often reference for Japanese unlimited vs 1st edition.

Is Unlimited more rare than 1st Ed. in Japanese?

Thanks for the tag @pokecollectoramy . In general, Japanese sets are indeed reversed of other languages: unlimited edition cards are rarer and shorter printed than 1st edition ones. For some sets, both can still be found without too much trouble, despite unlimited edition having a shorter print run, like most sets in the EX and DP eras for example. From the thread below, it seems like XY9 and XY11 might also be harder to find in unlimited. Not sure how they compare to XY8 and XY10 though.

Unlimited edition of Japanese sets during the XY era

First of all, thanks to @Quuador for this topic, here’s a brief summary of what’s interesting to me: My question is, how are we sure the CP sets do not have an UED? It was previously thought XY11 did not have an UED, and I recently found an XY8 UED (link). So XY9 probably has one as well. Aside from the massive thread on unlimited E1 on E4, pichufan has also put together a blog post about unlimited E1 here. As far as I know, it mostly summarizes all the information that was gathered in the E4 thread. I don’t think any new information has surfaced regarding the release of the cards.

These are the best sources I am aware of. (All of them originating from E4, of course)
