For those of us who choose to use card savers, there is an easy an effective way of sliding your cards into them, without the fear of crushing them.
My post was never about trying to force anyone into choosing a product they don’t want, rather an insight into how to best use said product.
If you don’t want card savers or aren’t interested in a particular way of doing things, that’s totally fine. Please don’t try and belittle the advice of those more experienced though.
@lp08ss the rule is used to lessen the friction caused by the card saver. Adding it there enables you to slide them in fairly easily. =)
They are indeed a little bigger. But that few mm extra on the Card Saver I’s is just enough to make it fold open easier, thus inserting and extracting the card easier.
This just little extra size prevents from using the ‘ruler trick’ because simply no space. When using them often you get the hang of it, but it’s not an easy slip-in as the Card Savers.
*Image seems to be upside down on thumbnail, just right-click/view image. Also pardon me for using low value cards.
I have about 150 ultra pro card savers and just tried one, absolute nightmare to try and put the card in, stopped because i was afraid id damage the card.
Where can i purchase the PSA approved card savers in the UK ?
Th main reason why I use toploaders is because I like to store my double sleeved cards in a scrapbook album within the toploaders in them like this. This is more because I like consistently looking at my cards (:
nope theres toploader binders… SORRY @garyis2000 But do you know about the toploader binders? ALot of people do not.
Dont know why you would convert to a card saver 1 if you can protect it like a psa card in a toploader binder and have it displayed.
However I only make a decision to add to the toploader binder if its completly Gem and OC to absolute hell… and even then its hard because ide rather have a 9 or 8 at psa or bgs for the collection…
So My toploader binder is empty…
and I have every card in a card saver waiting to be graded. ITS ONE HUGE PICKEL.
Sure, I know about the top loader binders but I’ve only bought one just to check out. Problem is, I’d need a thousand of them and an extra room to house them.
You touched on something though. At least when I’m ready to grade something they’re already in a cardsaver lol.
I cant seem to justify not grading on mints… so its hard to add to the toploader binder
But I guess as a person who is addicted to grading and wants to run businessment my needs and preferences have changed greatly compared to when i use to be a binder man in the beginningz.
