Random cards received to my PSA Vault?

Not sure if anyone has experienced this, but I noticed a couple sports card bgs slabs show up as being sent to and now officially vaulted in my psa vault account. They are not mine, I have never bought nor sent sport cards to my vault. Has anyone using psa vault ran into this issue with cards that arent theirs being sent to their vault?

I have already contacted psa twice, they never responded to my first support ticket and the second they gave pretty non helpful response, “if you accidentally chose Send to Vault for a card on your My Collection page or changed your mind, and don’t want to send the card to the Vault, simply do nothing, and the indication that the card is being sent to the Vault will disappear after 30 days.” I of course responded with that I didn’t accidently send to vault or add these random cards to my collection. it just happened automatically and that these aren’t mine and I want them returned to the proper owner.

I’m afraid to touch them since they aren’t mine but now within my vault alongside all my pokemon. Unsure how I should treat this considering psa isn’t taking it serious.

I havent encountered this scenario yet, even with me extensively using the vault over the course of the last few months.

Have you tried searching via the cert numbers, either via CardLadder or Ebay sold listings, to see if you can find and reach out to the seller (assuming it was a transaction and not someone just sending their in-hand collection to the vault)?

My guess: someone put the wrong ID number in or it was entered incorrectly. Not a great look in either case (If someone put wrong ID, the name would at least be correct, you’d think PSA would flag that). I havent gotten AI responses from the PSA vault support so would keep trying :person_shrugging:

I had this happen at Fanatics. It was just a $50 card though rather than a few thousand dollars like those. I looked up the card on eBay and found the exact card sold on eBay. I had bought a different card from that seller that was already sent and archived in my vault. I reached out to him and asked if he needed it sent back or if I could just pay him what it sold for. I ended up sending it to him straight from the vault. It was a bit of a hassle, but figured I’d rather be decent than keep it.

Like @velitheturtle said, if you haven’t checked recent solds, then you can try that to see if you can find the seller of the cards and reach out to them. Might be different though since if they sold on eBay they would have likely gone through Authenticity Guarantee.

I have never had cards sitting in my vault that were not my own, but I have seen this bug before on PSA Vault.

If I remember correctly, a few sports cards were seen in the All tab as you are using, but when I clicked on Vaulted they were not there. I think I deleted the cards from my All tab and they never ended up entering my vault. Perhaps there is a bug on the back end for some new submissions.

The other thing that frustrates me about the All tab is that it contains cards that I previously deleted (sold) from my set registry, as if the set registry and the vault tab are not synced up.

Hope this helps!

This sounds like poor back or front end management. Weird bugs can be introduced where customer subscriptions (or in this case cards in your vault) somehow make their way to other accounts. Until they can identify the issue, the only work around is fixing these issues manually one by one.

What can happen within big companies like this: customer support might try to stall for their develop team(s) to look into the issue first. Non-answers are often a sign of them “kicking the can down the road” with more difficult questions.

Using alt app, I found them sold on goldin jan auction so there is no individual to reach out to (just goldin auctions house). So this is likely a case of employee at goldin flubbing the vault id it goes to. If i dont hear from psa in a few weeks ill contact goldin.

I’ve had this happen once before. I sold a card that I had originally graded with PSA and the buyer had it shipped the their PSA vault. When it arrived it showed in my vault and I had the option to sell it or have it shipped back to me. Eventually it was moved to the correct vault.

”if you accidentally chose Send to Vault for a card on your My Collection page or changed your mind, and don’t want to send the card to the Vault, simply do nothing, and the indication that the card is being sent to the Vault will disappear after 30 days.”

Also this is false, I have cards that are still showing “To Vault” after months

yikes lmao

Merry birthmas

Quick! Mark them to be sold on eBay! :stuck_out_tongue:

Resolved with psa management after my fourth email attempt. No idea if original buyer got the cards, but mgmt said thanks for your honesty.
