All those cards and holo nidoqueen was the one that got away.
Thatās what I dunno what the heck I was counting when I was a kid cause Iāve got it all together now and somehow the non holo Kangaskhan was what was missing so I bought it and then found one. I mustāve been all hopped up on Surge and Gushers when I was sorting ![]()
I learned about new cards as other kids pulled them and showed them off at school. One of my friends would get a bunch of packs every weekend from Mexico for cheap and would have the coolest cards from his pulls.

Setlists, cards picks, random promo cards⦠I still remember those low-res images of southern islands and black stars. Becket magazine was there too, but I usually went to the internet first. Took maybe ten years to click that they were actually just alphabetized the whole time.
Only reason I did was because a buddy of mine in elementary school was Japanese and his dad would go home to Japan and bring back cards for him to give out on the playground. Blew our 9 year old minds seeing Japanese cards ![]()
Idk i was like 4 lol. I didnāt even care much about PokĆ©mon until last year, so likeā¦it took almost 3 decades later until I discovered exactly what it is.
My son knows more than I do. But the TV show is awesome.
